Sunday the 16th of may.

Today we valueted this course. Feelt a little sad that it was over. I think most of us have positive things to say about it. It have been a good experience and werry intresting to learn about the other countries.
Tomorow it is the 17th of may and the norwigen students have promised us to show the celebration. On the first day here we had a lecture about the history around it.

Saturday 15th of may

Here we go to meet Peter and the others for a "good bye dinner". We went to a China resturante, it was good food and nice to meet all new friends for the last time!

This trip have giving us very much, we have learn more english and new perspective on things, like values, democray, human rights. We had also enchanged knowledge with the other countries. This is something we take with us in the future! :)

Saturday 15 of may!

Final presentations.

Here is Fridas group they had a case about Sven who was a Nazi and got expelled from school. They talked about the differense between discriminitation and racisim. They used a Power Point presentation to show diffrent solutions. They also used us the audiens to discuss there topic.

After that it was time for Jenny´s group. They had the topic Culture clash. It was about a father from Nepal that dont agre with how the kindergarden were his children goes, behave. They talked about how to conclude al of the cultures and learn from eachoteher. They used an introduction of games, rollplay, Power Point, discussion and a movie.

Last but not least it was time for Peter to exam. They had a topic about how to motivate the pupils in school. Peter had earlyer made a movie to involve pupils in how to sustain the devolopment. The show that movie and present different soulutions with the help from a Power Point. And a discussion.

Friday the 14th of may.

Today we have study visit on a kindergarden and a school. Frida, Jenny, Emma och Peter went to the kindergarden, Katarina went to the school. This was a very giving day.
The kindergarden works with making the children involved in kindergarden activitis. And learning them that they have a choise. And also letting the children create the invorement on the kindergarden. This were hard for us to see becuse of the little time we spent there.

On the school that Katarina were visiting they were practise on the parades for the 17th of may, and a show about how patriotic Norway is. They also talked with pupils from the higher grades about the history of 17th of may.

Later that day Emma and Katarina gave there presentation in their international groups for ous. They talk about democraty and theirs cases.

First out was Katarina. Their case was about a teacher called Ella that on her sparetime were active in politics, and had a dresscode that showed her position. They used a Power Point to discuss with us about dresscodes, socialrole, conflict between pupils, teatcher. Responsebuillity and democracy.

Secund runner up was Emma and her group. They had a case about Sven a nazi that got expelled from school becuse of his thougts. They talked about human rights and reasons that may turn young people to gangs like nazis. They used rollplay, a movie and the making of an actionplan.

In the evening Jörgen learned ous a new game called "king" in sweden. We played that game and BBQ. It was a nice evening!

We had to stop and take a break on the way home. :) :)

Thursday 13th of may.

This is were we live in Oslo, Haraldshiem.







Hi again =)

This day we spent on the Universety of Oslo listning to Sissel-Tove teaching us about why the norweigen celebrate 17th of may. We got a god hitsory lesson there =).
Before lunch Siv told us about an education method called Storyline. Where you involved the kids to be caracters where they put them selfs in there work.
After that we spent the afternon/ evning in our international groups practising for the presentation of our cases.

Oslo! Hello and 12 th may.

Hello again

Long time and no see =). Now we are in Oslo. We started our trip on wensday the 12th of may. And today it is the 15th of may. The reason that it took so long were becuse of al of the work we been doing with our cases and the presentation of them in our international gruops.

12th of may.


Today is the day when we start our journey to Oslo. It started with train from Skövde to Göteborg. And there we transfer to bus to Oslo.


When we arriwed Thomas from Oslo meet up with us and give us a guided tour around Oslo, where we saw the royal caslte and the guards outside, and oprah house and as you can see in the pictures we saw a lot more.

I cant stop think about al the fun we had in vaasa. And how much the lectures gave me. Now when we are home again i cant wait to go to Oslo. But first we got a lot of work to do with our cases.Back to work again.

I miss everyones voices, and all new friends now.
This trip has become more than an experience, it has also made friends for life.
It has not only been practicing in English, but learning to collaborate and discuss in the international groups.
This trip has given me a lot and I already want to go ahead with our work to be reported 16 May in Oslo. I look forward to Oslo and hope that the trip will be as giving as the trip to Finland was.
I am grateful that I had to take part in this course. I hope that my other Swedish course participants feel the same way.

I just wanted to say that even though my luggage got lost on the way home(it´s back by the way) this has been one of the most rewarding weeks i ever had the plesure of experiense. All the new people i have met, all the new things i have learned. I´m so hapy i came along! /Peter

Thursday, finally home in Sweden.

Farewell dinner was very nice. But now we are so tired after a long day of travel and Peter lost his bag at the airport. So we will report more on this another day, as soon as we can!

It's good to be back to Sweden but we will miss our new friends we had on this trip. We now look forward to visiting Oslo.
Tomorrow will be up more pictures of the last days of Vaasa.
Shortly we will begin our work with our international teams, this is then recognized when we go to Norway in May.

After school we went to the sauna and couled are selfs in the snow.

Now we are going to a "good bye dinner". We write more about the evening tomorrow. :)

In the morning we had a lecture about child soldiers in Africa, it was very intresting. We was sitting in the whole group and discussed the lecture.

After that we worked in the international groups.

Thusday in Vaasa.

Hello!

We have now be´n inVaasa for two days.
Yesterday we met in our international groups for the first time and got to know eachother and decide about a case that we are going to work with until the 16th of may when this course ends. We are going to work and study together in our international groups on the site BlackBoard.
We also had lecture about democracy and interculturality as content, activity or ethos- how is it to be realised in practice? The evning ended with a movie night were we saw a movie about a blind preast to have someting moore to talk about.

Today we starded the day with a visit to Vaasa trainingschool. The school had students from the age of six years and up to the age of fifteen. The teachers are spiking both swedish, Finish and english. The teacher students from Åbo Universtitet do their work placement experience there befor they go out to practice in " real schools".
After that we gatherd in our international groups again and continued to work with our case.

We arrived in Vaasa yesterday and we met some of our fellow students, we had a short first meeting after we threw our bags in the hostel that we will call home fore the next couple of days. Everything has been really nice so far! Peter
